CLP Pulse is in the Grade 1-listed CLP clock tower building built in 1940 in Argyle Street, Kowloon. Formerly CLP’s Head Office, it has been transformed into a museum that showcases the intertwined histories of Hong Kong’s electricity development and the Kadoorie Family. It also promotes decarbonisation and sustainable development through experiential activities. The CLP clock tower, designed and constructed at the height of Art Deco movement, is the most prominent and recognisable feature of the complex. It is also one of the few remaining examples of pre-war modernist architecture.
