The Res

The Res is a sports recreation facility serving Philadelphia's underprivileged youth. The goal of The Res is to provide the space, opportunities, and resources for the disadvantaged youth of Philadelphia to freely participate in extracurriculars. The design of this space is playful, freeing, and meant to encourage, while also providing structure and security where the users are lacking. Along with court space, this design also provides the resources and space needed to support the users' academics, help them gain career opportunities, and improve their physical, mental, and social health.
