Teppanyaki, where chefs cook in front of guests, is a highly performative cuisine. Drawing inspiration from "immersive theater," five teppanyaki private rooms were staged, treating the teppan grill as a platform and the chefs as the performers. With each room placed along windows and cleverly defined by columns, the cityscape is framed as the backdrop of the restaurant. The inner kitchen is centrally located, with equal distance from all the rooms, allowing for quick supply and service for each unit’s individual needs.
