This Design investigates how textures, while often attributed to the natural finish of materials, can be re-introduced by the sculpting and articulation of walls and design objects. Our project draws inspiration from the modernist ethos and the artisanal sensibilities of the Arts and Crafts movement, where synthesis of materiality, craftsmanship, and spatial poetics informs our approach. The design emphasizes the sense of allure and intrigue through gentle curves and gradual shifts between light and shadow, which subtly guide movement and the progression of spaces within the apartment.
