The Fan House is a testament to the harmonious blend of modern functionality and traditional Japanese aesthetics. Commissioned by a Taiwanese-Hong Konger couple, the newly built multi-story home in an urban setting lacked inherent character. The design narrative revolves around the concept of "A Friendly Home," symbolized by a custom-designed wall lamp in the entranceway featuring a golden fan. In Japanese culture, the fan represents prosperity and good fortune.
