Perched on a forested ridge near the Buffalo National River, Eclipse Ridge is a weekend retreat designed to frame immersive views and foster connection to nature. A folded corten steel roof drapes over a wood frame and cast-in-place concrete base, with warm cedar siding and wood-lined interiors that reflect the forest's textures. The lofty living space opens to the outdoors while fostering connection. Anchored by a central circulation spine, the plan balances privacy and openness, while the expressive roof and rich materials define the cabin’s character as both refuge and retreat.
