This residence investigates how spatial sequence can mediate emotional transition when moving from outside to inside. Rather than emphasizing material presence, the design weakens sensory intensity and redirects attention toward light, movement, and stillness. Drawing from the spatial discipline of the Japanese tea room, sloped planes, lattices, raised timber floors, and louvered blinds establish a restrained yet layered structure. Daylight and indirect lighting articulate walls and floors over time, allowing space, rather than form, to shape the experience of inhabitation.
