In the heart of Old Montreal, this four-story townhouse reimagines the dialogue between heritage and contemporary living. Guided by the design firm, the project took shape once the client was assured the space could meet his needs. It centers on the removal of a central fireplace that once obstructed light and fragmented the plan. A dramatic three-story opening now restores visual continuity, while a sculptural bronze staircase anchors the space. Rich materials and layered brown tones create a warm, immersive atmosphere, where constraints are transformed into architectural opportunities.
