Casa Magnolia, designed in 1962 by Jaime Ortiz Monasterio as a habitable library, is reinterpreted by Andrés Gutiérrez through a meticulous restoration that recovers its original identity. Surviving shelving and the central wooden “umbrella” structure are reinstated, reorganizing the house around books and spatial continuity. Split levels enhance visual connections, while wood, color, and a curated mix of contemporary and historic Mexican design and art redefine the interior as a layered, introspective domestic landscape.
