Nishiki is a contemporary Japanese restaurant in Pearland, Texas, created for award-winning chef Addison Lee, who envisioned bringing a true date-night dining experience to the suburb he calls home. Rather than following traditional Japanese aesthetics, the design embraces a contemporary language shaped through close collaboration with the owner. A suspended timber ceiling, layered lighting, dark stone, raw concrete, and warm-toned millwork create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere, while reclaimed wood and custom-stained maple add richness, character, and cost efficiency.
