In Nuevo León Mexico 12% of pregnant young women face social and emotional vulnerability affecting their wellbeing throughout motherhood. Specialized spaces addressing pregnancy childbirth and postpartum from a humancentered perspective remain absent in public hospitals. This project proposes the interior redesign of the obstetrics area of the Regional Maternal and Child Hospital of Nuevo León to create spaces providing privacy safety and calm strengthening mothernewborn bonding and maternal wellbeing.
