The No Footprint Wood House is located along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Its bioclimatic design integrates with the surrounding lush tropical forest and natural habitat. The NFWH is based on the principles of bioclimatic architecture, including passive design strategies such as site-specific positioning, cross ventilation, solar shading and the local production of renewable energy. The project is designed from the inside out. All landscaping and furniture pieces form part of the overall project development, resulting in a harmonious relationship among nature and the built environment.
