This project revitalizes an aging heritage building in Songbo Village, a historic settlement in Yangmingshan, Taipei, through adaptive reuse. Reimagined as a family-friendly reading hub, it combines reading, dining, and a coffee bar for hands-on learning. Warm materials and open spaces create a welcoming environment where parents can relax while children read, explore, and play freely. By preserving cultural memory and encouraging shared experiences, the design brings generations together and gives new life to a treasured piece of local heritage.
