Casa de la Abuela is nestled within Rancho Avándaro, close to a lake, located in Valle de Bravo. The project is a house for a multi-generational close knitted family. This tight relationship was translated into the interior design by exploring the dynamics created by articulating all spaces around the master bedroom and keeping the flow between the rooms simple. Austrian-engineered wood overlays the floors, walls, and ceilings. The double-height spaces accentuate the visual connection to the lake. The museum inspired lighting helped accentuate the warm tones, creating an inviting ambience.
